Today we have big news from StoveTeam International! StoveTeam’s work has received its first national publicity with a feature article in The Rotarian Magazine. Volunteers are leaving on November 6th for Guatemala and Honduras to assist with factory construction in Copan Ruinas, Honduras, and investigate the possibility of future dental teams. As they work, you can read updates on the NEWS at www.stoveteam.org. On November 11th, members of the StoveTeam International Board will be going to Mexico to assist a local entrepreneur plan for an Ecocina stove factory. He will be helped by a grant from many Rotary clubs in the Northwest, Cupertino Rotary and San Miguel de Allende Rotary. With the help of Rotary and individual donations, StoveTeam has helped local people establish factories in Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala and this year hopes to have additional factories in Mexico and Ghana. Thank you so much for your help; your donations and enthusiastic support have been essential to our success. Consider leading your club to develop a matching grant to sponsor a factory; send a group of Rotary volunteers for a rewarding, interesting volunteer trip to Mexico or Central America, or have your club give the gift of stoves.
