Breakfast buffet at Fernandos and on the bus by 8am. Some of us got stuck for 10 minutes in the middle of a marathon on the way to the factory. At the factory, a brief intro to all the factory personnel and then to work. Painted a lot of roofing panels and C-channel beams for the roof. Installed about 350 sq ft roofing (20ft off the ground). Did a lot of grounds cleaning and dirt moving.Half of us are covered with paint splatters, the other half with lots of dirt. Everyone seems to have way too much fun while working…another great group of volunteers. Lunch was a fabulous chicken pepian with vegetable rice and horchata…prepared by ladies in the village, of course on ecocina stoves. Lots of us got practice making and cooking tortillas. Dinner at Fusion (mahimahi, mashed potoates and vegies), again, delcious. We have a few sore bodies tonight, but everyone has been incredibly well fed and anxious for another fun work day.
