The conference ended yesterday after a whirlwind of activity, and I'm taking the day off to repack before returning to Eugene tomorrow night. Although I could write for pages, I'll limit it to a short note to give you an idea of the conference.

We learned to test stoves, listened to studies of emissions and the effects of indoor air pollution, and broke into regional groups to share concerns about our individual projects. We visited local stove factories, had lunch on the banks of the Nile, and, at the very end, danced with the world. Nothing could have been more inspiring than to go to the dance floor to the sound of royal drums and turn to my right and dance with a new friend from Cambodia and then turn to my left and dance with a new colleague from Uganda.

It really is a small world after all!
